Gayle Tabor became a fan of social media a few years ago, but it has really been in the last two years that she has dedicated her time to developing and growing her online presence. She successfully runs the social media campaign for her business Glynne’s Soaps. The campaign includes Twitter, a Facebook fan page and a blog. Gayle became a firm believer in the business benefits of social media as she saw it increase sales for her business. Orders for soap from across the country came through Twitter messages. She also sees the local impact as people are constantly meeting her and saying “I know about you because of Twitter” or “I am here buying something because we are a fan of Glynne’s Soaps on Facebook”.
She has also effectively started a Buy Local campaign in her local community, working on educating the community on the benefits of buying local when possible. This movement has grown and expanded greatly due to it’s presence on Twitter and Facebook.
Gayle lives with her spouse and their Dalmatians (Wrigley and Marshall) in Wilmington, NC. In her spare time, she is involved in dalmatian rescue, training Wrigley in agility, learning to play the bagpipes, volunteering for the Rape Crisis Center, and tweeting about all of it!
